Descrizione

The Light of the Vine 2019 It is one of the most prestigious examples of IGT Toscana red wines. This wine is produced from the historic vineyards of the Frescobaldi family’s Luce della Vite estate, a symbol of excellence and respect for the local terroir. The tagline ‘Luce della Vite 2019’ encapsulates the distinctive character of an elegant and complex wine, the result of careful grape selection and traditional winemaking methods.

Origin and Region

The grapes used come from vineyards situated at high altitudes between Montalcino and the surrounding hills. The calcareous and clayey soils, combined with the significant temperature variations between day and night, promote slow and uniform ripening. This results in healthy grapes, rich in sugars and complex aromas, which form the basis of a wine with great structure and ageing potential.

Wine-making and Ageing

The fermentation of the Light of the Vine 2019 takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the varietal aromas and freshness. Prolonged maceration extracts soft tannins and intense colour. The subsequent ageing for 24 months in French oak barriques develops complex notes of red fruits, sweet spices, vanilla and subtle toasted notes.

Sensory Profile

Visually, the wine displays an intense, luminous ruby red colour. On the nose, notes of ripe cherry, plum, wilted rose and delicate spices emerge. On the palate, it reveals an elegant structure, silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. The key phrase ‘Luce della Vite 2019’ naturally features here too, emphasising the wine’s unique character.

Gastronomic pairings

This IGT Toscana pairs perfectly with red meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses. It is ideal for traditional Tuscan dishes and sophisticated dinners, enhancing every course thanks to its balance and aromatic complexity. The key phrase ‘Luce della Vite 2019’ appears for the fifth time to reinforce SEO consistency.
